Taplow Anglo-Saxon Burial Mound

The barrow at Taplow has been dated to the seventh century AD and is an exceptional example, despite having been partially excavated. The finds from the excavation are in the British Museum.

Access to the barrow, which lies in the old churchyard close to the remains of an Anglo-Saxon church, is reached by means of a footpath from Cliveden Road.
