Chisbury, Hillfort, Anglo-Saxon Burh and Medieval Chapel
Chisbury Iron Age hillfort has a single ditch and bank which is roughly oval in shape and has been strengthened on two sides with an additional ditch and bank.
The hillfort was reused during the Anglo-Saxon period, when it became a rural burh of 700 hides.
There is also an interesting 13th century chapel which is under English Heritage Guardianship.
