Seven Barrows Neolithic Burial Ground

Although the site is named Seven Barrows, there are more than thirty barrows existing in the vicinity.

The accessible part of the site contains ten Bronze Age barrows which are arranged in two north-west to south-east rows.

Eight of these barrows are bowl barrows, one is a saucer barrow and one a disc barrow.

The other barrows in the cemetery are spread over a wide area. Many were excavated in the 19th century, and there are records of numerous finds.
